Re: Which permalink to choose?

You will want to use /%postname%/ Go into your dashboard>Settings>Permalink and choose the option " Post Name ". Choosing Post Name make your URL just show the domain name and page/post. For example on my website http://howtobuildablog.net and viewing the past "How to start blogging&q...

No you don't need to and DO NOT UNZIP any of Marcus plugins or any other plugin no matter where you get it from. To upload one of Marcus plugins is no different from any other plugin. Just go into your dashboard>plugins>Add New. From their you located the plugin on your computer and when it is found...

Re: wordpress redirect to avoid error issues

Wordpress.org has several plugin that handle re-direct for errors. You will need to read the documentation on the ones of interest. Then download and install the ones of interest and play with them. Note only have one at a time active. You will also need somewhere to send your visitor when you redir...

Although Fiverr and Hirewriter will create your content, that is no guarantee that it is original content as a friend of mine found out. - the hard way. What I do (and I don't know if this is ethical or not, but I do it anyway) is do a search for the content that I'm looking for. Then copy and past ...

Re: bullet points in copy

You can create many different types of bullets points in wordpress. but the styles are somewhat dependent on the theme you are using. If you create your theme in Artisteer, then the sky's the limit to the style you want to use. As with job resumes, it is always a good idea to use bullet points and l...

Re: How many clicks do I need for a conversion

When I was using PPC (I've been banned from Bing) I would copy and past my stats into an excel spreadsheet. I would also do the same for all my CPA offers with respect to making a commission. Within the spreadsheet and setup the cells with equations to calculate everything. conversions, CTR and net ...

Re: NoFollow and DoFollow links do you need both?

They are independent from one another. I set these up in my SEO plugin. Both all-in-one seo and Yoast have settings. As for the NoFollow, I set it my dashboard >settings>Search Engine Visibility. I check the box to Discourage search engines from indexing this site. I do this in two cases. 1- On my t...

Re: Is there an easier way to back linking?

What I understand from Google webinars, don't be real concerns about back links. Don't go out of your way to get them. let it be natural. Google has some idea of how many backlinks a site like yours should have over time. If you have way too many, Google good ban you from their search engine results...

Only if you are going for PPC traffic or social media traffic. If you are trying for ranking in the search engine results pages, then their is much more you have to do. But one good start is have the "all-in-one-seo pack" plug in your "Yoast" plugin (this is the one I'm now using...

Re: Can I link to another site that I own?

Yes you can link to any of your websites. I once had three website that were relevant to each other. I put outbound links to all of them and to each other. Google loves this and could increase your page ranking with them. Note that if possible, you should link to other pages and post on your website...

Re: How do I track my links?

There are several ways. If you are using some of Marcus plug-ins, then they track the clicks on links. Another method which I use is Crazy Egg. It not only shows you the amount of clicks for each link, put also heat maps. This is just the tip what Crazy Egg can do, but it cost $9 per month to track ...

Re: Would it be worth getting back links off fiverr?

It is very risky to get backlink from any site that offers them to you. If google suspects that you have inbound links on your site that came from farming (which Fiverr would be giving you) they will ban your site from PPC and Organic traffic. An example if you have a simple site and is only a coupl...

Yes - when you set up your campaign, there should be an option to set scheduling. You should be able to choose the days and time frames. I can't speak for Google, But Bing time frames are set for 6 hour periods.

Re: Shall I used a direct link to a review page with PPC?

You can link direct to you offer landing page if you feel it will give you visitor (the one that clicked on your ad) all the information they need to make a choice to buy or whatever. Example - I have one company I deal with that relates to helping people get through an interview and get job offers....

There are a few ways 1- look at the awstat in you hosting company Cpanel. - Lots of great information. 2 - If you are using any of marcus plugins, must also provide activity feedback. 3 - Crazy Egg gives you good information plus site heat maps. Also where people are clicking on you page or post tha...

Setting on a few Google webinars, they don't look at back links for ranking like they used too. They figured out these links are from farming sites. Re: Google Adwords ad to an article/post/page?

I'm assuming you are referring to an Article on your website and not to an article on some other website. So assuming it's to your website, you can link your Adwords (Ad) to any page/post. - It doesn't have to go to your site home page. Just make sure you don't have too many links going to an offer ...
