Re: Link Building

Your reply makes a lot of sense Jim. Thank you. I have been seeing the same and think the combination of doing keywords right and getting good quality back links, even if we don't get tons of them, is a good strategy.

Re: Using trigger words for blog posts

Thanks for clarifying. I understand everything except maybe the first line you wrote.

What does this mean: The keyword "won't" will not buy you anything as your site snippet will never be seen on the first pages of the search result pages.

Yes. I use all of these as well. LinkedIn Pulse is fairly new. After you post on your blog, wait a day and then post the content on LinkedIn Pulse and Facebook Notes and you can get more exposure.

Re: What is the difference between a blog and a website?

From what I understand a blog is a type of website that is updated regularly. A website is defined as a set of web pages usually on a single domain. Those pages may not change often but a blog should have new content posted on a consistent basis.

Re: Can someone explain what “No contextual” is please?

Contextual ads are paid ads that are shown in website content. So no contextual would mean that you are not allowed to use those ads.

Re: Why shouldn't I use flash on my website?

It can slow down your site, or some visitors can have trouble viewing it based on the device they are using or the internet connection they have. You want to make the visitor experience the best you can and if flash is messing with that, you don't want to use it.

From what I understand a session is that amount of time a visitor stayed on your website, but it can get tricky because Google does measure the time based on activity or inactivity.

Re: Can someone tell me what LSI is please?

LSI stands for Latent Semantic Indexing and refers to keywords that are related to your keywords. Google and other search engines use it as a system to look at words on your website that are related to your main keywords. They like to see content with similar keywords more than keyword stuffing your...

Re: Which is the best buy word?

A buy word can match up with your niche and have a certain intent, and there can also be certain trigger words related to buy words. For example, when looking at the search term, is the searcher seeking information early on in the research phase or is he/she getting closer to the buying time. Words ...

That's a great story Jim and it does seem surprising that he wouldn't have had contact information given that he was still active with new product and even a Facebook group.

Re: Which would be better Yoast SEO or All In One SEO?

It is the opposite for me. I mostly use All in One SEO but lately heard that Yoast is better. Here is why I was told that: Yoast allows you to connect to Google & Bing webmaster tools fast (you submit a sitemap) and it's an easy setup. And the free version is fine as well. Would be interested to...

There is definitely a range of quality on Fiverr but I have had some very good graphics/logo work done there. Like anything, you have to do your research and test.
