A woman told Niagara Falls police she was attacked and grabbed by a woman who wanted to fight with her just before noon in front of Jordan Gardens apartments. The victim said the suspect, whom she knows, got out of a cab and grabbed her on the sidewalk. The victim said she dropped her keys as she ran back into her apartment and then the suspect took the keys and scratched the rear quarter panel on her vehicle. A 22-year-old Niagara Falls woman was advised to seek an arrest warrant against her neighbor after the neighbor allegedly smashed her in the face with a shovel, police said. when the neighbor attempted to intervene and break up the altercation. Instead, an argument ensued, and the victim told police she was struck in the face with a shovel, causing a cut to her face and scratches to her neck and chest. After investigating, police refused to make any arrests, saying the victim's injuries did not appear consistent with the story she was telling. the glass was broken on the shed door to gain access to the deadbolt. When the thief or thieves realized there was a key entrance on both sides, the door as pried open. Damage is listed at $500.

Inside the shed a snowblower, valued at nearly $650, was stolen.

Police are investigating footprints found at the scene.
