We all know it can take sometimes weeks if not months for the Search Engine crawlers/robots to come back and re-index our website(s) after making any changes to them. Well, one way you can Hasan the crawlers to come back is by having an XML sitemap on your website. So I thought I would give it a try since it has been almost six weeks since my last changes on my sites and the last time my sites were crawled.
I was about to download an xml sitemap from wordpress.org when I notice there was one in the all-in-one-seo pack plugin that I have installed on my website. So I though I would check it and if it looked good I would activate it.
To my surprise it was very easy to activate and set up. Latter that evening I checked the search result pages from Google and Bing and notice that my site snippets where in deed updated.
So if you are thinking about getting traffic with Organic traffic, you may want to use an xml sitemap if you think you are going to be making changes to it. Otherwise you too could be waiting weeks to get your site re-crawled by the search engine crawlers/robots.
On my website Getting traffic http://gettingtraffic.org
you can read a more detailed report on this subject and watch a short video on how to active and setup this xml sitemap.
All this can be viewed on my Getting Traffic website post under SEO in the menu. Their is also a short video on how to do it.
