What's the sweet spot number for competition?

In Google you can see what the competition is for whatever words you choose. So if your word is "testosterone", what would be an achievable competition number: more than 500,000 searches but less than 1 million searches per month? I'm trying to find out what qualifies as too high competition so pick a different niche, basically.

the number of searches and the competition in a market are two unrelated things.

there should not be a limit on the amount of searches because that would be limiting your traffic... so in short... the question is... is there enough traffic to earn enough to make it worth your while?
